We are looking for Mechanical Fitters to carry out mechanical fitting activities, inspections, maintenance, and repairs across a range of systems and equipment within the estate and, when required, in other sections.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver all planned preventative maintenance to meet departmental and business objectives.
* Identify, rectify, and report system, manufacturing, and operational defects or alterations.
* Work within established processes while contributing suggestions for improvement to increase efficiency.
* Comply with all Health & Safety legislation, Safe Systems of Work, and BM&T Clyde policies.
* Mentor colleagues, provide guidance to apprentices, and act as Apprentice Master when required.
* Lead and coordinate with other sections on multi-disciplinary tasks.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Mechanical systems and equipment (including boilers, pressure systems, and documentation).
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and complete risk assessments.
* Familiarity with COSHH and safe systems of work.
