About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our Rail Division to work in our Birmingham, Aston Depot.
Role Purpose:
Assist with the provision of technical support to the Senior Renewals Manager for the planning and delivery of track renewals ensuring technical aspects of all works comply with relevant CRSA, Balfour Beatty, Network Rail Group and Line Standards and safety legislation.
What you'll be doing
1. Assist with the provision of technical support to the Senior Engineer, Senior Supervisor and Renewals Manager.
2. Monitor and ensure technical compliance on all works, site and office.
3. Ensure all works are undertaken all works in compliance with Contractual Specification and Network Rail Group and Line Standards.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant Safety Legislation.
5. Undertake all technical aspects of works in compliance with Network Rail Group and Line Standards.
6. Assist with and attend Whiteboard / Stage Gate meetings in accordance with CRSA Track Renewals Procedure producing the required outputs to support effective and robust delivery of the works to completion.
7. Review completed works to ensure Best Practice and Lessons Learnt activities are captured, recorded and utilised in future work planning and execution.
8. Assist with the preparation and submission of Bar Charts/Time Chainage charts, Lifting Plans, WPPs, task Briefs and other site documentation all works.
9. Ensure all works undertaken are planned, installed and tested in accordance with appropriate Network Rail Group and Line Standards.
10. Ensure all aspects of works undertaken comply with technical specification.
11. Plan and requisition all plant as required for the works
12. Participate in the planning and preparation of Track Renewal works
Who we're looking for
13. Good knowledge of Track Renewals Disciplines.
14. Excellent knowledge of Rules & Regulations, H.A.S.A.W and other appropriate regulations.
15. Excellent knowledge of both group and line standards.
16. knowledge of all aspects of track renewals disciplines.
17. HNC in an Engineering discipline or working towards.
18. Good IT skills.
19. Able to drive

21. Computer literacy
