Daily Expectations & Routine Morning: Students may require support transitioning into school. You will: Help regulate emotions Reinforce structure and routine Prepare students for the day ahead Lessons: During lessons, you will: Use BSL and visual aids to support communication Break down instructions into manageable steps Support focus and engagement Work closely with the class teacher You will be expected to move around the classroom and provide hands-on support. Break & Lunch: You will: Support structured play and interaction Encourage appropriate social behaviour Help manage sensory needs End of Day: Staff remain until 3:30pm–4:30pm, using this time to: Complete behaviour logs Update communication records Prepare resources Key Expectations in Class Active participation at all times Reinforcing communication strategies Supporting both academic and emotional development Promoting independence Additional Responsibilities Supporting students with sensory regulation Following behaviour support plans Working as part of a multidisciplinary team All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
