CORE Network, Communications and Monitoring Officer
The Network, Communications and Monitoring Officer will play a key operational role in the coordination and delivery of training, partnership, and best-practice outputs under the project work programme. Working closely with the Project Manager and project partners, the role will coordinate workshops, liaise with trainers and participants, manage project documentation and reporting processes, and contribute to stakeholder and network engagement activities. The Network, Communications and Monitoring Officer will be responsible for ensuring that project activities and deliverables under their strand are implemented efficiently, documented accurately, and aligned with funder, governance, and audit requirements.Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the planning and delivery of in-person and online workshops across jurisdictions.
* Liaise with trainers, facilitators, partner organisations, and participants to support smooth delivery of events.
* Manage event logistics including venues, registrations, travel coordination, and follow-up communications.
* Track progress of deliverables and maintain project activity records.
* Document and analyse learning from the monitoring programme, producing reports on participant experiences, outcomes, and opportunities for future monitoring initiatives.
* Coordinate knowledge exchange activities that capture and disseminate best practice in cross-border environmental governance and collaboration.
* Oversee the development and publication of case studies showcasing effective cross-border environmental initiatives.
* Plan and deliver knowledge-sharing events, workshops, and a final conference to share programme learning and strengthen regional collaboration.
* Ensure learning and insights from programme activities are effectively documented and shared with stakeholders.
* Lead the development, launch, and ongoing management of an online knowledge hub to support cross-border environmental collaboration.
* Oversee the creation and curation of digital resources, including policy tools, case studies, and collaboration resources.
* Monitor engagement and usage of the knowledge hub and ensure it meets the needs of participating organisations and stakeholders.
* Produce reports on platform usage, engagement metrics, and qualitative feedback to assess impact.
* Lead project communications, including website content, digital updates, and dissemination of programme outputs.
* Oversee the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track programme outcomes and impact.
* Monitor progress across monitoring, training, partnership development, and pilot project delivery.
* Analyse participation data, feedback, and evaluation metrics to assess programme effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
* Prepare regular monitoring and evaluation reports, including biannual programme reports and quarterly reporting on digital engagement and compliance.
* Support stakeholder engagement and partnership facilitation.
Skills and Qualifications
* Substantial relevant experience coordinating and delivering complex project activities or workstreams, including responsibility for planning, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and delivery of agreed outputs within set timelines.
* Experience developing, managing, or contributing to digital resources or platforms, such as websites, online knowledge hubs, or shared information resources.
* Proven experience supporting or delivering programmes involving multiple activities, partners, or stakeholders, including collaboration across organisations or networks.
* Experience coordinating or facilitating capacity-building initiatives, such as monitoring programmes, training sessions, workshops, seminars, or knowledge-sharing events.
* Experience contributing to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including gathering participation data, analysing feedback, and preparing programme reports.
* Experience engaging professionally with external stakeholders, including partner organisations, facilitators, subject experts, or service providers.
* Demonstrated experience preparing clear and accurate written outputs, including reports, case studies, summaries, or briefing materials.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of environmental issues, environmental governance, or sustainability policy.
* Experience working in the NGO, environmental, or community sector.
* Knowledge of or experience in cross-border or transnational cooperation, particularly on the island of Ireland.
* Experience working on multi-partner initiatives or collaborative programmes.
* Familiarity with governance, leadership development, or organisational capacity-building programmes.
