Assistant Financial Controller
Based in Pickering
£32,000 - 34,000 per annum - depending on qualification and experience
Full-time 36.5 Hours per week, Permanent
Do you have experience of accounts preparation and financial reporting? Are you AAT Level 4 qualified or above? Are you interested in helping to developing our finance function?
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified accountant with relevant experience to join our dynamic finance team. This key role will play an important part in supporting our diverse and challenging business environment, which includes multiple business activities and a substantial charity.
The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to develop their skills in contributing to the development of the finance function and the organization.
Working alongside the Financial Controller, you will take primary responsibility for the timely production of the monthly management accounts and commentary for submission to the boards. Alongside this you will work to enhance and streamline financial and reporting processes to improve the quality of information that is distributed to all users.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Produce monthly management accounts for submission to the boards.
* Working with the Financial Controller to enhance and streamline financial and reporting processes.
* Working alongside the fundraising department, in submitting Gift Aid claims.
* Supporting the preparation of grant funding applications.
* Working closely with other members of the finance team, and supporting them as required.
* Supporting the Financial Controller with preparation of annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, assisting with preparation of year end accounts and liaising with the auditors.
* Supporting the Financial Controller as required with day-to-day accounting and reporting, including deputising as required.
