Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Camden, you will work with pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural, or learning support to succeed in school. Pupils may have Autism, SEMH, ADHD, speech and language needs, or learning difficulties, and often benefit from structured routines and consistent adult support.
You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support strategies and ensure pupils feel safe, understood, and included.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
* Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
* Assist with differentiated learning activities
* Encourage engagement, independence, and positive learning behaviours
* Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* Maintain safeguarding, behaviour, and SEN records
* Follow school policies and procedures
