Job Summary
Paxton Green Group Practice is seeking an IT and Data Facilitator to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of our clinical IT systems, provide responsive IT support to staff, and deliver data insights to support quality improvement and contract performance.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Infrastructure
* Provide first‑ and second‑line IT support to all staff.
* Troubleshoot PCs, printers, network access and clinical systems.
* Manage user access (EMIS, NHSmail, Microsoft 365) and onboarding.
* Assist with Check Cloud telephony administration and troubleshooting.
* Monitor and maintain on‑premise server infrastructure; escalations as needed.
* Liaise with external suppliers and NHS support services.
* Support business continuity and system recovery during outages.
* Maintain documentation, asset records and IT stock management.
Data & Reporting Support
* Run routine performance and data quality reports (QOF, QIA, ES).
* Support EMIS searches, reporting and analysis to optimise contract performance.
* Generate patient recall lists and coordinate recall activities.
* Assist with batch messaging and invitations in collaboration with admin.
* Present data in clear formats to support service improvement and clinical decision‑making.
Training & Patient Support
* Support staff training on clinical systems and digital tools.
* Promote online patient services (NHS app, repeat prescriptions, appointment booking, access to records).
* Provide patient education and support in reception and waiting areas.
* Support new staff induction and communicate system changes.
Governance, Safety & Compliance
* Handle patient‑identifiable data in accordance with NHS IG and GDPR.
* Support cyber‑security best practice and contribute to DSPT compliance.
* Maintain awareness of and support clinical risk considerations in digital systems.
Working Pattern
Full‑time, site‑based at 1 Alleyn Park, London SE21 8AU. Early shift 7.45 am – 4.15 pm (E); Late shift 8.45 am – 5.15 pm (L). Week pattern: Mon E, Tue E, Wed L, Thu L, Fri L.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: £37,091 – £39,757 per year (PGGP payscale) plus NHS Pension. Permanent contract.

* Knowledge of NHS information systems.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff, patients and external organisations.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to analyse, manipulate and present data in meaningful formats.
* Presentation skills (written, verbal, electronic).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Calm and flexible approach to work with ability to manage competing priorities.
* Understanding of confidentiality, data security and information governance principles.
Qualifications
* Degree/diploma in IT or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
* Experience providing IT support in a professional environment.
* Experience with Windows and PC‑based applications (especially Microsoft suite).
* Experience working with Windows Server environments.
* Understanding of data collection, analysis and presentation.
* Understanding of NHS business processes or healthcare IT environments.
* Ability to use own initiative and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical colleagues.
Desirable
* Experience with GP clinical computer systems (EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx).
* Understanding of QOF/QIA and GP contract performance requirements.
* Experience with telephony systems (particularly Check Cloud or similar).
* Teaching or training experience.
