Overview

Join 'Team Derbyshire Healthcare' as an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to plan and run a varied therapeutic group programme. This role supports the emerging CAMHS group programme, leading with the team manager in planning and running a range of therapeutic groups, co-facilitating with clinicians from the wider service. There is scope for personal and professional development within the service, supported by the leadership team and training and development lead. The group programme will be a mix of face-to-face and virtual delivery, with travel across the County essential.


Responsibilities

* Co-ordinate the delivery of high quality day service support for young people and their families, using knowledge and skills to interpret and analyse patients’ needs and care planning.
* Promote and conform to Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust policy and procedure for safeguarding children and national guidelines.
* Ensure effective joint working between agencies and professionals and effective information sharing to safeguard children and young people.
* Understand, coordinate the delivery of, and provide a range of interventions such as family work, solution-focused therapy, cognitive therapy, behavioural management, individual counselling and group work.
* Access supervision to support practice development.
* Liaise with other professionals, offer consultation and joint working to provide early interventions in and prevention of mental health problems in young people.
* Develop effective care pathways for children and young people.
* Work within the Multi-Disciplinary pathway team to offer and access supervision and support to ensure good practice.
* Practice and demonstrate knowledge that promotes child protection and the rights of the child.


Further context

As a practitioner, work in partnership with the CAMHS leadership team, Medical Consultants and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest level of clinical practice in assessment, case management, care coordination and treatment. Ensure that the best evidence-based care is given to children, young people and their families, within the resources available to the service. There will be an emphasis upon working with complex presenting difficulties and multi-agency networks. We welcome applicants with transferable skills and offer robust supervision and training opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and experience within a CAMHS IAPT Service.

* Experience or interest in planning and delivering group work and therapeutic interventions for children and young people within CAMHS.
* Ability to travel across the County to support a mixed delivery model (face-to-face and virtual).
