Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturer that is making a huge investment in their factory over the next 5 years. Due to this growth and new production lines being installed, they are looking for a Spanish speaking Project Manager to lead all capital & CAPEX projects on site, whilst liaising with the central project function overseas.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Manage all new installation & modification projects
2. Responsible for planning projects associated with civils, production & packaging machinery, utilities, chemicals & IT systems
3. Allocate resources, communicate project objectives, create workflow plans
4. Work really closely with the engineering team on functionality and the commissioning phases
5. Liaise with other project managers across Europe, travel overseas to meet suppliers & OEM’s
6. Carry out meetings with suppliers, plant managers, procurement managers and contractors
7. Define project specifications – prepare technical documentation for new installations
8. Draft specifications for requesting technical bids from suppliers, OEM’s and assign projects
9. Control the budget for each project and report on timeframes, costings, availability, mapping
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
10. Must be able to speak/understand Spanish – technically liaising with suppliers & OEM’s overseas
11. Experience of working in manufacturing, FMCG, engineering & production
12. Happy to travel overseas if needed
13. Must have come from an engineering background – understand electrical, mechanical, automation
14. Any knowledge of IT Systems projects would be beneficial
15. Highly organised, open & honest person
16. Strong project planning, mapping, budget control and forecasting
17. Able to produce technical specifications for projects
18. Experience of liaising daily with suppliers & OEM’s for production & packaging machinery/systems
