Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Investment team within the Private Markets (“PM”) group. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Private Equity and Private Credit investments to play a pivotal role in driving growth and success.

This role is certified under the Senior Manager’s Certification Regime and will be subject to assessments in Fitness and Propriety and other regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with the management of Private Credit and Private Equity portfolios.
2. Develop and implement innovative strategies for Private Credit and Private Equity, considering market developments and the needs of the Partner Funds.
3. Conduct origination, analysis, due diligence, legal review, negotiation (collaborating with internal and external counsel), execution, and active post-investment monitoring of primary and secondary funds and direct co-investments.
4. Present new transactions to the LGPS Central Investment Committee for approval.
5. Participate actively in the Private Markets Investment Committee (PMIC), overseeing investment portfolios, advising on strategy, and establishing transparent, repeatable investment processes to meet investment targets.
6. Represent LGPS Central on Limited Partner Advisory Committees of external funds, where relevant.
7. Lead the development of future funds to be launched by LGPS Central.
8. Act as an ambassador for LGPS Central at conferences and industry events.
9. Follow the manager selection, appointment, monitoring, and reporting framework.
10. Manage risk and ensure compliance according to the Risk and Compliance Framework.
11. Collaborate with the Responsible Investment & Stewardship team to review and analyze ESG risks for all fund commitments and direct co-investments.
12. Provide assurance to the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee that portfolios are managed within agreed parameters.
13. Promote a high-performing, research-based, and collaborative investment culture across LGPS Central.
14. Manage and develop junior staff within the Private Equity and Private Credit team.
