Direct clinical care — Consulting with patients (face‑to‑face, telephone and/or online as agreed). Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute illness and long‑term conditions. Providing health advice, safety‑netting and appropriate follow‑up. Undertaking home visits where part of the agreed model. Making referrals to secondary care and community services when clinically indicated. Indirect clinical care (clinical administration) — Reviewing and actioning test results and investigations. Processing clinical correspondence (hospital letters, discharge summaries). Completing referrals, fit notes and other clinical documentation. Managing repeat prescribing and medication reviews (as per practice systems). Handling clinical tasks/messages and ensuring appropriate coding and record‑keeping. Clinical governance, quality and safety — Participating in Significant Event Analyses (SEA) and learning from incidents/near misses; contributing to audit and quality improvement activity (where feasible and relevant); supporting safe systems (e.g. results handling, prescribing, recalls, safeguarding processes); engaging with infection prevention and control (IPC) processes relevant to clinical work; responding to safety alerts (e.g. CAS/MHRA) in line with practice processes.

Be committed to delivering patient‑focused care with a collaborative approach. Have a keen interest in contributing to practice innovation and development. Have excellent communication and organisational skills. We offer flexible working arrangements with a choice of 10‑15 minute appointments with capped patient numbers per session. We are a training practice with the opportunity to mentor and supervise ST1/2/3 and medical students and take part in delivering tutorials.
