Our Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) provide personcentred care to our patients. If you are kind, compassionate and you always actin the best interests of others we would like to hear from you.
You will be an experienced Health Care Support Worker andhave completed an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
Patients who are being looked after on our wards need care24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means most of our posts will have shift patternsthat cover days, nights bank holidays and weekends. Where possible we willconsider flexible hours and working patterns.
If we receive a large amount of applicants then we have the right to close theadvert early.
Main duties of the job
You will be an essential part of the nursing team, workingunder the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will also work alongside otherhealthcare professionals and support workers to provide a positive experienceto our patients and their relatives at times of need.
You will need to be the kind of person who puts theirpatients first and provides the best care possible to every patient every day.
You will support patients in various ways including:
* Washingand dressing
* Toileting
* Bedmaking
* Assistingwith nutrition and hydration
* Helpingpeople to mobilise
* Assistingwith patients' overall comfort
* Providingencouragement to lifestyle and behaviour changes
* ITskills to complete relevant documentation
* Undertakingassessment and recording of basic patient clinical observations/ test resultsas part of the overall assessment of a patient.
