Duties
As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our customers. Your duties will include:
- Planning and preparing a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Training when necessary
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborating with the chippy management team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various culinary techniques
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff members from different departments
