Role Overview
As a CCTV Engineer, you will install, maintain, and support mobile and deployable CCTV units on a variety of sites including construction, property, events, and public safety. You will deploy cameras, networking and communication equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety and data protection standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Configure IP networks, routers, SIM‑based communications and remote monitoring platforms.
* Carry out maintenance, fault‑finding and upgrades on deployed CCTV systems.
* Work with power solutions including solar panels, battery systems and 230V supplies.
* Provide excellent customer service while working on site.
* Complete accurate documentation and reports for each deployment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Background in Security/CCTV installation or Electrical Engineering with strong practical skills and a willingness to train in CCTV.
* Electrical knowledge: confident working with cabling, power supplies, and site installations.
* Good understanding of tools, testing equipment, and safe working practices.
* Willingness to work outdoors on varied sites such as construction, roadside, and remote areas.
* Strong problem‑solving mindset and technical curiosity.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Desirable: knowledge of IP‑based CCTV systems, router and SIM‑card configuration, experience with deployable cameras in security or construction.
* Desirable: ECS/CSCS card, IPAF/PASMA or Working at Height certification.
