The Springfield Group are recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join our team based in Elgin. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting the group across multiple office and site locations.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of our Group IT team, you will:
* Provide first-line support for IT issues via ticketing system, phone, email, and in person.
* Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network problems.
* Set up and maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
* Support Windows desktops, laptops, and Office 365 applications.
* Log and track support requests using our helpdesk system.
* Escalate complex issues when necessary.
* Assist with routine system checks and updates.
Skills & Experience
* Basic experience in IT (e.g. troubleshooting PCs, printers, software).
* Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
* Understanding of user account management and basic networking.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to follow procedures and document work clearly.
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience with Active Directory or Group Policy.
* Exposure to Office 365 admin tools.
* Microsoft certifications.
* Interest in progressing to 2nd line support.
