Job Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products throughout the production process. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, analysing data, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of product quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in quality engineering or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools, including PPAP and Control Plans.
* Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001. Proficient in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
* ISO auditor trained, with experience conducting internal audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and update quality control procedures and documentation (PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA).
* Execute inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products to identify defects and document results.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Analyze quality data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce defects.
* Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* Provide technical support to production teams to resolve quality issues and improve process efficiency.
* Conduct root‑cause analysis of problems and implement preventive measures.
* Maintain and update quality documentation to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
* Manage non‑conforming materials and collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues.
* Supervise and support quality control personnel.
* Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
