Would you relish the opportunity to teach students the subject Drama and Theatre Studies with Performing Arts within a college setting?
The Drama and Performing Arts department are looking to recruit a committed and talented teacher of A Level Drama with Performing Arts (Acting focus)
At Cirencester College, you would have the opportunity of teaching enthusiastic learners Drama and Theatre Studies, enhancing their knowledge on areas of performance such as Greek Theatre (Lysistrata by Aristophanes), Brecht, Devising, Performance from a Text and Acting for Screen. These courses dive deep into the world of performing arts, from participation in class workshops to high quality performances in our very own Sundial Theatre.
You would teach surrounded by a committed and supportive team who will readily share resources and best practices, as well as offering support whenever required. Within this environment, we would help you further develop as a practitioner, as you in turn develop your students.

The post holder will be expected to:
1. Teach A Level Drama and Theatre (Pearson) to a high standard and develop the relevant skills to teach truly outstanding provision.
2. Teach BTEC Performing Arts with a focus on Naturalism, Devising and Acting for Screen.
3. Plan and deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment on all the courses you teach.
4. Ideally have experience in teaching at Key Stage Five.
5. Be willing to teach, in-part, across other subjects if required and take on the role as a tutor.
6. Candidates should have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
7. Effectively prepare students for non-examined assessments, including marking Devising Portfolios and examined responses for Component 3 assessments.
8. Ideally you will hold a teaching qualification or be committed to obtain a suitable qualification once in post.
