The Property
Located in the heart of Glasgow's city, overlooking George Square. As a team we are exceptionally proud of the delightful accommodation option we offer our guests.
The Role
This is a full time position working 5 over 7 days including some weekend shifts with no late nights. As the first person to greet our guests, the hotel receptionist role is key in setting a welcoming tone for every guest on behalf of the entire team. We are an experienced, enthusiastic team of hospitality professionals and if you join us you can expect to work in an environment where the focus is on collectively delivering the highest levels of customer care for our guests.
About The Role
Whats involved in the role?
* Greeting guests in a warm, friendly manner.
* Checking in and out guests professionally.
* Answering switchboard and telephone in a friendly, professional manner, transferring calls to correct extensions and dealing with requests.
* Taking reservations with care, noting any special requests.
* Informing the guests about all property facilities and those locally available to enhance their stay.
* Ensuring that billing is completed correctly.
* Dealing with any guest feedback, queries and suggestions quickly and efficiently.
Is this role for you? Here are the key criteria we are looking out for:
For this role it is important that you have at least one year of experience as a receptionist .
Experience with the Opera system would be ideal, but isn't 100% essential as training can be provided.
Working in reception involves a lot of multi tasking - you would have to be comfortable with that.
As the role involves processing detailed information, the ability to focus and record detail is very important.
Being fluent in English is essential for this role.
A warm and friendly, happy and caring disposition is very important.
Candidates must be over 18 and some lone workign will be required.
