Job Title: Management Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports To: Finance Supervisor
Location: On site - Rhymney
Job Type: Full Time
The role of the Management Accountant is to be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, providing financial analysis and commentary, cost control, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities
* Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts with a focus on revenue, cost of sales and accrued & deferred revenue
* Month end reporting using Cognos financial reporting software
* Preparation of reports on profit and loss and headcount
* Preparation and issuing commission reports
* Preparing and issuing cost centre reports to budget holders to assist with cost control
* Assist in financial reporting for audits and statutory requirements
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
* Post journal entries accurately and efficiently
* Complete ONS surveys and ensure compliance
* Any other ad hoc requests as required
Qualifications / Requirements
* Min 2+ Years experience in a finance role
* Ideally part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
* Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SAP is desirable)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data
* Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with various teams
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
* High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
