Introduction
The Green Room Foundation is a charity with a mission to help young people from the age of 11 develop their full potential. This vision has grown into a group of three unique schools dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team for between 3 and 5 days per week in term time. The work is across our two locations of Windsor and Kingsley – the exact number of days per week at each will vary. This is a great opportunity to become a member of our dynamic, creative, fast‑moving organisation that places a premium on staff wellbeing.
Main Responsibilities
* Assessment & Intervention: Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify pupils' needs and provide occupational therapy.
* Case Management: Manage a personal caseload, set and review goals. Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
* Collaboration & Training: Work closely with other therapists, teaching staff and parents to integrate therapy goals into the curriculum and home life.
Key Criteria
* Qualifications: Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council. (Essential)
* Experience: Working with young people with a range of special educational needs within an educational setting. (Desirable)
* Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills. Candidates should be organised, extremely flexible, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Additional Details
The successful candidate should have a flexible approach, hold a degree in Occupational Therapy, and be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council. Experience of working with young people with a range of special educational needs within an educational setting is desirable, but transferable skills are also welcomed. An interoception specialism would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will be supported by the therapy team and work within a multidisciplinary school staff team. Creativity and flexibility will be highly valued. Every day in alternative provision is different, and we are looking for an Occupational Therapist who can adapt their approaches to meet the diverse and changing needs of our students, helping them access learning, grow in confidence, and discover their potential.
