A vibrant primary school in Westminster is seeking a Year 6 SATs Booster Tutor to drive progress in the lead-up to KS2 assessments. This long-term position starts in January and is ideal for someone who thrives on targeted intervention and securing strong SATs outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
1. Delivering targeted booster sessions in Maths, Reading and SPaG for Year 6 pupils.
2. Supporting pupils in small groups and 1:1 to close attainment gaps and build confidence.
3. Using assessment data to plan focused sessions that address specific learning needs.
4. Working closely with the Year 6 class teachers and senior leaders to track progress.
5. Developing pupils’ exam strategies, time management and resilience ahead of SATs.
About you
6. Significant experience working with Year 6, specifically in SATs preparation.
7. Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and current KS2 SATs framework.
8. Confident planning, delivering and reviewing high-impact interventions.
9. Skilled in behaviour management with a calm, reassuring and motivational approach.
10. A collaborative team player who can quickly integrate into an established Year 6 team.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable, but applications from highly experienced intervention specialists with a strong Year 6 SATs background are also welcomed.
