JDR Recruitment are actively looking to recruit a Bench Hand Joiner for a client based in Leicester.
Our client is a leading specialist interior fit-out contractor. Privately owned, they have been setting the industry standards for numerous years. They are experts in fitting out some of the worlds most prestigious interiors for private and commercial clients. Their interior solutions are engineered to the finest tolerances, ensuring the finished product perfectly matches the designer’s vision. Duties for the Bench hand Joiner will be
* Work from CAD drawings to manufacture items
* Comprise accurate cutting lists, read and accurately interpret what is required
* Assemble furniture
* Use woodworking machinery, hand and power tools
* Fill, sand and finish all wooden products
* Ensure your standard of work is maintained to Company high requirements.
* Work in a safe manner always adhering to Company procedures and Health & Safety regulations
* Ensure all waste is disposed of in the correct manner.
* Always working to ISO quality and environmental management processes
Shifts are Monday to Friday
Hourly rate is
From £15.50 - £18.00 Depending on experience
The successful Bench Hand Joiner will be required to have the following.
* NVQ Level 3 or 3 years’ experience working with hand tools, power tools and common woodworking machinery.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to read construction drawings.
* An analytical approach to your work.
* Numerical ability.
* Manual dexterity.
* Flexibility
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* An awareness for health and safety best practices.
On interview you will be asked to an induction and competency test. Approx. 4 hours
