The Head Teacher report template is attached to this advert. It MUST be completed by your Head Teacher and uploaded with your application before the closing date. Please upload the report in the 'COVER LETTER' section of the application; a separate cover letter is not required.
For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:
Evidence of Catholic Church Approval - Applicants must seek Catholic Church approval when submitting their application. A copy of the approval should be provided to the Chair of the Panel prior to the interview. If pending, confirmation of submission will be sought from our Church Representative.
Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and further information are available from the Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES) website.
Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants need to have RC Approval for the relevant school. Details and forms can be found on the SCES website.
Responsibilities
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Membership with the PVG scheme is essential, and preferred applicants will need to join or update their membership prior to a formal offer.
The employment is exempt from section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
