Description
Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with a strong focus on developing production-grade software, extensive experience with Azure services, and proficiency in Java, Python, PySpark. You will manage a team and collaborate with a third-party vendor to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Role Responsibilities
* Owning the development team in design, development, coding, testing.
* Managing all the activities of the software development team and set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery.
* Keep up to date with the latest development software.
* Hire and train new developers.
* Provide mentorship to the team and ensure they enforce to development standards.
* Build alliance and work with other partner pillars within Kantar for a shared goal.
* Mentor team of 4 people and vendor team of 15-20.
Required
* Experience in the data processing applications
* Practical production experience in software implementation
* Experience working with high-level sophisticated problem definition using algorithms.
* Experience working in a distributed team.
* Background in software development or in a hands-on technical role
* Spark data processing
* Software Architectural skills
* DevOps
* Strong understanding of data security, including encryption/decryption.
* Proven management skills with experience managing teams and collaborating with third-party vendor
* Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
* Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, particularly in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, is highly desirable.
