Overview
Provide care for infants and toddlers (1-3 years) in a private home setting. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation, child supervision, and developmental activities.
Responsibilities
* Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
* Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
* Discipline children according to parents’ methods
* Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
* Keep records of daily activities and health information
* Maintain a safe and healthy home environment
* Organize games and outings for children
* Prepare and serve nutritious meals
* Prepare infants and children for rest periods
* Supervise and care for children
* Tend to emotional well-being of children
Qualifications
* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
* Experience: Will train
* Security & safety: Criminal record check; Reference required
* Transportation: Public transportation available
* Physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks permissible; Client focus
