<div><h3>Overview</h3><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fire Safety Manager at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, strategic, financial, technical and organisational skills to drive forward the capital agenda in South Tees.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Work closely with the Deputy Director of Estates, Capital and Programmes and the wider Estates team.</li><li>Assist in the lead for fire safety across the Trust and be responsible for the Trust’s fire safety programme, delivering an outstanding healthcare environment for patients and staff.</li><li>Ensure fire safety is professionally led, patient focused and strategically aligned with the Trust’s aims and values, embedding best practice and technology at every opportunity.</li><li>Take a collaborative approach in a multi‑stakeholder environment to enable delivery in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders.</li><li>Formulate and lead the development of a Trust‑wide Fire Safety Strategy, promoting a raised awareness of fire across the organisation.</li><li>Develop close working relationships with Executive Directors and Senior managers to establish a coordinated and coherent governance and fire risk approach.</li><li>Ensure effective systems are in place to collate and analyse highly complex information regarding risk management and health & safety.</li><li>Work with senior managers to identify, assess and develop action plans to mitigate risks exposed to the organisation.</li><li>Maintain systems that evidence compliance with legislation, standards and approved codes of practice for fire safety.</li><li>Provide expert support, advice, training and leadership on mandatory and role‑specific fire training; identify, manage, report, investigate and learn from risks and adverse incidents.</li><li>Attend the Leadership Development Programme and the Quality Improvement Programme delivered by the Trust, including four and a half days of training, to develop leadership effectiveness and quality improvement skills.</li></ul><h3>Training and Development</h3><ul><li>South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to enhance leadership and management skills.</li><li>Training focuses on exploring leadership within the NHS, promoting Trust values and behaviours, developing leadership effectiveness, and providing practitioner‑level quality improvement skills.</li></ul></div>
