We are seeking an innovative, highly skilled, and detail-oriented Senior Clinical/EBME Engineer to join our dynamic team in the EBME workshop, which is aiming to achieve ISO 9001:2015 quality compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability in medical equipment. The Post holder will work across all ENHT sites where required.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the full lifecycle management of medical equipment, including procurement, commissioning, inventory management, maintenance, upgrades, and disposal.
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), calibration, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of a broad range of medical equipment, including patient-connected, diagnostic, and life-support devices.
Install, test, commission, and validate new medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Trust procedures, and relevant regulatory standards.
Ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of medical devices through routine inspections, performance verification, and corrective maintenance activities.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and technical incidents, undertaking root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions to minimize clinical disruption and risk.
Manage and maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, calibration data, and asset information using the Trust’s equipment management database.

Essential criteria
* Degree or HNC in Clinical/ Electronics Engineering
Previous Experience

* Extensive engineering experience working in a medical devices environment
Skills
Essential criteria
* Technical proficiency in medical device maintenance, repair, calibration, and safety testing
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clinical staff, suppliers, and team members.
* IT skills, including experience with asset management systems and electronic documentation.

Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Medical Equipment Technology: Understanding of the principles, operation, and components of a wide range of medical devices and equipment.
* Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of equipment maintenance, calibration, safety checks etc.
* Electrical Safety: Awareness of electrical and functional safety testing protocols for medical devices.
* Regulatory Standards: Familiarity with UK healthcare regulations and standards including HTM 06-01, MHRA medical device alerts, IEC 62353 series, and other relevant safety guidelines.
