About The Role
We are looking to appoint passionate, caring, and dynamic School Support Workers who are enthusiastic about working with pupils with additional learning needs. Experience or a demonstrated commitment to working with such pupils is essential.
Job Purpose
Supporting children and young people with complex health needs in a purpose-built environment, assisting with personal care, independent living, and delivering personalized support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young people to achieve positive outcomes and participate in the community, including social networks, education, employment, and social activities.
- Support hobbies and interests through one-to-one or group activities, with colleagues and volunteers as needed.
- Maintain records and support the creation and updating of individual care and support plans.
- Involve individuals in risk assessments to promote active and meaningful lives.
- Safeguard health, well-being, and safety, reporting concerns promptly.
- Provide personal care and support respecting dignity and preferences, including delegated healthcare tasks such as medication administration.
- Contribute to capacity assessments and best interest decisions.
- Support individuals' spiritual, cultural, and religious choices and facilitate access to community facilities.
