Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements: A bachelors degree in IT, Systems, Sciences, or Maths At least 5 years experience across BI, data warehousing, data management, and ETL Strong experience delivering data solutions in BI warehouses and/or data lakes, on-premises and in the cloud Hands-on experience with big data tools, data ingestion, and streaming Experience with data lakes and visualisation, including semantic modelling Strong understanding of data architecture Confident stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration skills A passion for sharing knowledge and supporting team development Responsibilities: Own the development of scalable data pipelines and data solutions Work independently while collaborating with teams across the business Deliver reliable, high-quality data that powers data flows and predictive models Use a range of languages and tools to build and manage robust data pipelines across multiple systems Contribute to key decisions that support an outcome-focused approach Identify opportunities to bring in new data and unlock more value from existing data Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Architecture, and wider tech teams to design, build, test, and maintain scalable data environments Understand GDPR principles and raise concerns where needed Support and mentor fellow Data Engineers Listen to technical and business needs and communicate complex ideas clearly and accessibly Spot potential challenges early and shape proactive solutions Technologies: Big Data Cloud ETL Support More: We are Vitality, a multi-award-winning UK insurance brand with a purpose and values-driven culture focused on making people healthier and enhancing and protecting lives.
