Brook Street Recruitment are working on behalf of our Belfast client who are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Sea Freight Operative to join a dynamic and growing freight forwarding and customs clearance division focusing on import and export operations
Responsibilities include:
* Arrange transportation by air, sea and road with freight carriers and agents
* Track shipments and ensure timely delivery
* Handle bookings with airline, shipping lines and haulage companies
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the shipment process from booking to final delivery
* Prepare and verify shipping documents
* Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to promote smooth operations
* Ensure compliance with import/export laws and customs regulations
* Maintain effective communication with clients for exceptional customer service
The ideal Candidate:
* Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
* Previous experience in a sea freight role is preferred
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong IT knowledge with the ability to navigate various operating systems
