Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Intervention Teaching Assistant to support pupils at one of our client schools in Manchester. The successful candidate will work closely with science teachers to provide targeted support to students who require additional assistance in understanding scientific concepts. The role will involve working with small groups or individual students, delivering tailored interventions, and monitoring progress to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential in science.
This role will be a full-time position. This role is due to begin on the 2nd of September 2024 but earlier start dates are available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with science teachers to identify students in need of intervention support.
* Plan and deliver targeted interventions to address specific learning needs in science.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
* Provide feedback to classroom teachers on student performance and areas for improvement.
* Maintain accurate records of intervention sessions and student progress.
* Support the overall learning environment within the science department.
Qualifications and Skills:
* A degree in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred.
* Experience working with students in an educational setting.
* Strong understanding of science curriculum and teaching methods
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
