An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as the Supported Housing Team Manager at our Hollybank site in Salford.

Hollybank is a 12-bedded unit that forms a part of the Salford alliance of supported housing tenancies, striving to support individuals with an identified mental illness through promoting independence and social inclusion, improving key skills of daily living, and with a view to residents being able to move on to more independent living.

The postholder shall be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of Hollybank Supported Accommodation and community support offer. They will manage the unit staff and provide support, supervision, appraisals and be responsible for completing rotas and lead recruitment. The post holder will demonstrate 24-hour accountability and responsibility, with an overview of activity, staffing and incidents.

The post holder will ensure that the highest possible standards of support are provided to clients in accordance with their needs, tenancies, and commissioned packages. Ensuring that all support is personalised, recovery focused and meets outcomes of the agreed support plan.

The successful candidate will receive a full induction into the organisation and will be supported to settle into the role. They will be provided with any relevant training and learning and development opportunities to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience.

Oversee the day-to-day running and leadership of the Hollybank Supported Accommodation and community offer.

Provide support, supervision and appraisals for unit staff.

Establish and maintain effective communication with service users, carers and families about complex matters providing a warm welcoming and enabling environment to support therapeutic relationships.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans adjusting where indicated, along with maintaining the health, safety and security of self and others in own work area.

Work in accordance with the key principles of the Care Act, promoting person centred and strengths based approaches.

Work in collaboration with statutory health and social care partners to meet Section 117 aftercare needs in accordance with the Mental Health Act and its Code of Practice.

Contribute to the development of services and quality improvement.

Support service users, carers and staff’s equality, diversity and rights

Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practice

Plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members

Maintain and support the efficient use of physical and /or financial resources

Practice in accordance with the guidance of applicable professional registration body i.e. Social Work England, HCPC.
