About
What you'll do...
1. Provides evidence-based vision care to ensure patient's health and well-being by recommending and prescribing medications and other treatment options (e.g., red eye, LASIK surgery, cataract surgery) using evidence-based care guidelines.
2. Delivers routine vision care and educates patients and store associates on eye health, including contact lens care, disease management, and safety factors.
3. Recommends appropriate patient follow-up, consults with other health professionals, and provides referrals to ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers.
4. Evaluates patients' health conditions through comprehensive examinations, reviews medical history, and prescribes and fits glasses, contact lenses, and other aids.
5. Develops treatment plans based on clinical presentation, and develops and maintains patient records.
6. Represents the company in vision care and patient engagement, ensuring high-quality customer service and adherence to healthcare regulations.
7. Performs administrative tasks and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated patient care.
8. Develops strategies to attract and maintain a skilled workforce, fostering an environment of respect, integrity, and continuous learning.
9. Builds partnerships and networks to support business goals and community outreach initiatives.

Salary and Bonuses
Annual salary range: $100,000 - $200,000
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and potential regional pay zone adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited school and licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare.
