We are seeking a Fire Door Carpenter to complete inspections, maintenance, repair, and replacement of fire doors. The role involves travelling to healthcare and public buildings within NHS contracts in the South East. A company van and fuel card will be provided, so a UK driving licence is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect fire doors to assess repair or replacement needs.
2. Perform fire door maintenance and remedial works.
3. Install new fire doors and frames.
4. Ensure compliance with current fire regulations.
5. Conduct inspections to verify fire safety compliance.
6. Adjust door frames, ironmongery, and seals for proper fit and function.
7. Identify and rectify fire door defects.
8. Ensure all work adheres to industry regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery.
* Experience with maintenance, repair, and installation of fire doors.
* Experience in healthcare environments is preferred but not essential; relevant experience in other sectors will be considered.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Valid UK manual driver’s licence (no EU or automatic licenses; no more than 6 points).
Job Details:
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
