Outreach Worker for SEMH Pupils
Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Outreach Worker to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges in a lovely school near High Peak. The role requires the ability to drive, as you will support pupils within the school and the local community. You will assist children who are struggling to access the mainstream curriculum due to SEMH issues.
Responsibilities:
* Taking attendance in the mornings
* Liaising with parents regarding absences
* Collaborating with social services and other agencies to support individual pupils
* Applying behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies
* Referring to education and health care plans (EHCP)
Details:
* Location: High Peak
* Hours: To be confirmed
* Type of work: Temporary
* End date: Ongoing
* Minimum rate of pay: £100 per day, depending on experience
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
* Experience working with children with SEMH issues
* Team Teach qualification is highly desirable
* Must have a valid driving license
Eligibility Requirements:
* Right to Work in the UK
* Enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to obtain one
* Two professional child-related references from the last two years
