The UK Networks team seeks an experienced Network Engineer to join our team and contribute to public and private cloud technologies, client infrastructure services, and ongoing network deployments.
Responsibilities
* As a Network Engineer, you will: Manage all network components in a LAN/WAN environment; troubleshoot network connectivity incidents (routing, switching and security); build, configure and maintain network infrastructures per best practices; identify service improvements to reduce risk and improve stability; produce high quality implementation scripts, test plans and change controls (ITIL Framework); upskill knowledge of different technologies; create, maintain, and review operational and technical design documentation.
* Work with Security appliances and enterprise network elements (Next Gen Firewalls, UTM, Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet, Checkpoint or Cisco); deploy and configure firewalls; support load balancer solutions (Citrix Netscaler, F5); work with large corporate or data centre networks in multi-client/service provider environments; gain familiarity with public cloud networking and infrastructure (e.g., AWS VPC, AWS EC2, Azure NSGs, Azure VMs).
* Provide out of hours on-call support when required; occasionally work unsociable hours; collaborate with teams in other geographic areas (e.g., India); help direct and educate less experienced staff; be flexible and willing to work on client sites (location: London).
Qualifications
* Working knowledge of network security including deployment and configuration of firewalls.
* Understanding of routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) and IP multicast; management of LAN/WAN environments including device protocols and communication standards.
* Experience with Wireless Solutions (Cisco / Juniper Mist); administration of firewall systems (Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet, Checkpoint or Cisco); knowledge of load balancers (Citrix Netscaler, F5); experience implementing and supporting large networks in multi-client/service provider settings.
* Public cloud networking experience (AWS VPC, AWS EC2, Azure NSGs, Azure VMs); network automation knowledge (e.g., Cisco DNA Center, Python); network security and threat management knowledge; Cisco ISE preferred; professional level certifications (CCNP, JNCIS, PCNSE or equivalent); understanding of SASE solutions (e.g., Zscaler).
* Existing UK Government security clearance is required to work on UK Government contracts.
