Salary Range: £26,093 - £27,319 FTE: 1 (35 hours/week) Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/03/2026 Closing Date: 07/09/2025 Scotland’s National Centre for Languages (SCILT) based at the University of Strathclyde are looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant, to join their dynamic team at this busy, Scottish Government funded centre. SCILT supports the learning and teaching of languages in Scotland. To be considered for the role you must be educated to secondary or further education level (or equivalent relevant experience in administrative work). Sensitivity to cultural diversity and excellent interpersonal skills are also a requirement, together with a high standard of verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work independently using your own initiative, as well as collaboratively as part of a team, is essential. The post holder must be able to prioritise a demanding workload in a pressured environment. Excellent administrative and organisational skills are required, alongside an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and experience using online remote working applications. This role has a hybrid arrangement, with a minimum expectation of 3 days per week on campus. Flexibility will occasionally be required to support events, including some evening and weekend work.
