Our team is committed to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
This role is crucial in ensuring the financial success of our industrial projects. You will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects, from initial cost planning and procurement through to final accounts, while ensuring that each project is delivered within budget and to the highest standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCost Management:\n\nPrepare detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimates for projects ranging from £4m to £20m.\nMonitor and control project costs, identifying and managing any financial risks or opportunities.\nManage the preparation and approval of valuations and variations.\nContract Management:\n\nPrepare, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.\nEnsure compliance with contractual obligations and manage any disputes or issues.\nMaintain comprehensive and accurate contract documentation.\nProcurement:\n\nLead the procurement process, including tender preparation, analysis, and award.\nSource and manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure value for money and quality.\nReporting:\n\nProvide accurate and timely commercial reports to senior management.\nTrack project financial performance, including cash flow, margins, and forecasts.\nConduct regular reviews and audits of project finances.\nTeam Leadership:\n\nMentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.\nWork closely with project managers and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.\n\nRequirements\n\nExperience:\n\nMinimum of 7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on industrial projects.\nProven track record of managing projects in the £4m - £20m range.\nStrong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.\nSkills:\n\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.\nProficient in industry-standard software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, CostX).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.\nProfessional membership with RICS or equivalent is preferred.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary up to £80,000 and benefits package.\nOpportunities for career advancement within a growing company.\nInvolvement in high-profile industrial projects.\nA supportive and collaborative work environment \n\nFor more information contact Ollie Heath at PSR Solutions
