Job Description
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We offer a competitive salary and benefits, along with the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking market leader.
* Assisting with the management of financial data and designing solutions for data flows and reporting.
* Preparing and posting month-end journals and supporting monthly ledger closure processes.
* Completing timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including the fixed asset register.
* Preparing monthly management accounts for internal and external reporting to Group.
* Producing and consolidating company budgets and forecasts.
* Liaising with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
* Supporting the production of statutory accounts and providing information for auditors and the group tax department.
* Providing management information to support financial and operational decision-making.
* Driving continuous improvements and efficiencies in all finance functions, including audit, fixed assets, payroll, purchase, and sales ledgers.
Qualifications
To apply for the Financial Accountant role, you should possess:
* Full or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Proven experience in accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, and budgeting/forecasting.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, sharing knowledge and ideas.
* An inquisitive approach with a desire to improve processes for more efficient financial data provision.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with operational and financial staff at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software; experience with SAP/S4HANA is beneficial but not essential.
