We are seeking a Junior Service Technician to join our team at M&P Survey Equipment in Ellesmere Port.
About the Company
M&P Survey Equipment is a Leica Geosystems main UK dealer and part of the Hexagon group, supplying advanced GNSS, mobile mapping, 3D laser scanners, UAVs and total station solutions to civil engineering, construction and land surveying industries.
Job Responsibilities
* Service, repair and calibration of surveying equipment to manufacturer specifications.
* Perform fault diagnosis at module or component level.
* Coordinate with logistics and repair teams to facilitate timely processing of instruments.
* Maintain all tooling within calibration limits.
* Ensure average turnaround time aligns with company objectives.
* Work with other departments to resolve problems quickly and professionally.
* Adhere to ESD procedures.
* Control stock of spare parts.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven track record in a fast‑paced service environment.
* Experience in electronic repair, calibration and delicate component work.
* Experience with computer diagnostics and firmware update processes.
* Relevant experience may come from service and repair of survey equipment, or from mobile phone/watch repair and calibration.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
* Strong prioritisation and demand management skills.
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge of SAP or Syrinx is advantageous.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Benefits and Salary
Full‑time permanent role with a competitive salary of £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
