Job Overview
Due to continued growth, the organisation is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to drive best practice across sites and the head office. As a Health and Safety Manager you will lead audits, inspections and risk assessments, advise managers on compliance and maintain integrated management systems to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. The Health and Safety Manager will also support tenders and pre-qualification submissions, manage the approved supply chain and contribute to monthly safety committee meetings, ensuring robust SHEQ standards across demolition and construction activities.

Duties
* Lead Site Audits & Inspections: plan and complete regular audits, inspections and risk assessments across projects
* Advise Stakeholders: provide clear guidance to directors, managers and site teams on health, safety, environmental and quality matters
* Maintain Management Systems: actively maintain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 systems and support external and internal audits
* Policy Management: maintain and produce company HSEQ policies and procedures on an annual cycle
* Accreditations & Memberships: maintain relevant safety, environmental and quality accreditations, certifications and memberships
* Tender Support: contribute HSEQ content for tenders and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires to support compliant bids
* Supply Chain Assurance: maintain supplier and subcontractor approved lists and monitor compliance
* SHEQ Site Checks: carry out SHEQ audits on projects to ensure legal compliance and identify hazards and risks
* Committee Participation: attend monthly health and safety committee meetings and provide actionable input
* General HSEQ Support: assist with day-to-day health, safety and environmental tasks across the organisation
Candidate Requirements
* Recognised H&S Qualification: NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety or NEBOSH Diploma
* CSCS Card: CSCS Black Card (Health & Safety Professional – Construction/Demolition Manager)
* First Aid: current First Aid qualification
* Sector Background: a background in demolition or construction environments
* Communication & Leadership: strong leadership, influencing and communication skills
* Organisation: ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines
* Systems Knowledge: experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems
