Key responsibilities
, accountabilities and decision ownership:
1. Collaborate with project teams to design electrical systems tailored to project requirements, including power distribution, lighting, communication, and controls.
2. Select appropriate electrical equipment and components considering project specifications, compatibility, and performance.
3. Supervise the installation of electrical systems, coordinating with contractors and technicians to ensure accurate implementation.
4. Develop detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems to facilitate clear communication and accurate execution.
5. Prioritise safety by adhering to electrical codes, national grid requirements, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring personnel well-being and legal compliance.
6. Implement quality control processes to verify that electrical installations meet design specifications and safety standards.
7. Conduct testing and commissioning procedures to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
Requirements:
8. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, I2C or a related field; Master's degree is advantageous.
9. 5+ years of experience in electrical system design, installation, and operation, preferably within the construction industry or similar field.
10. Proficiency in electrical engineering software, CAD tools, and simulation applications relevant to electrical system design.
11. Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to construction sites.
12. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving project requirements and site specific conditions.
13. Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools relevant to electrical system design, such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar applications.
