Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a solid background in administrative tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing support to various departments, and maintaining efficient administrative processes.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the company's day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payroll, bank reconciliation.
* Maintain and manage cashflow forecasts, working closely with the MD to ensure financial stability and forward planning
* Work closely with accountant to provide data for monthly CIS deductions and HMRC submissions, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations
* Manage relationships with accountants, insurers, and other financial partners — acting as the key point of contact
* Maintain financial records in IRIS, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness at all times.
* Pay employee expenses on receipt of invoices and file receipts accordingly.
* Support with financial documentation for new clients, supplier applications (e.g. CHAS, Constructionline), and insurance renewals
* Assist accountant with payroll processing and ensure timely payment to all employees and subcontractors
* Handle sensitive information with full discretion and professionalism
* Contribute to process improvements in finance and admin systems as the company grows
* Arrange accommodation for operatives on site when needed
* Maintain record of company vehicles and service requirements and arrange as necessary.
* Assist MD with project planning and arrange access equipment when necessary
* Maintain record of outstanding works with appropriate order values and variations
* Keep an updated record of annual leaves for employees.

Pay: £27,420.00-£32,679.32 per year
