Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is proud to be partnering with a marketAEUR'leading testing and certification organisation that is expanding its Battery Testing Services across multiple sectors. We are now recruiting for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth across automotive, aerospace, wider transportation, renewable energy, grid and special project markets.
This is a highAEUR'impact, commercially focused role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, opening new markets and working at the intersection of sales and advanced engineering services.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and expanding battery testing services to both existing and new customers, working closely with senior leadership to secure and grow longAEUR'term partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
* Promoting battery testing services to stakeholders including procurement teams, senior managers, engineers and technical specialists
* Engaging with influencers and government bodies, including funders and relevant trade organisations
* Identifying and developing new markets and presenting technical service offerings to prospective customers
* Working closely with the General Manager to prepare and respond to tenders, ensuring competitive and highAEUR'quality submissions
* Supporting the development and execution of sales strategies, including the expansion of consultancy and support services
* Building, maintaining and effectively managing a customer database to maximise commercial opportunities
* Using prospecting tools to assess potential customer spend and support budgeting and forecasting
* Maintaining accurate sales activity records and producing regular reports
* Monitoring service and product development, contributing ideas for new services and continuous improvement
* Sharing customer and project intelligence internally to support crossAEUR'selling opportunities, particularly with battery materials and related teams
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong blend of sales experience, technical understanding and commercial drive. You will ideally have:
* Previous business development or sales experience within testing or technical services sectors
* Good technical understanding of battery testing methods, standards and current industry requirements
* A confident, proactive and commercially focused approach with a flexible, canAEUR'do mindset
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
