We are currently looking for a vibrant, forward thinking individual(s) who are passionate about providing excellent care and support to adults with a learning and physical disability as a wake-in support worker. Purpose of the Job: Working independentley at night providingflexible support and person-centred care to all residents within Mountview Care Home. Wake-in experience would be an advantage but is not essential as we offer full training and ongoing support from our experienced Manager and team. The people who use our service may also have behaviours which are considered a challenge to ordinary services; it is our responsibility to ensure that these people are treated with all due dignity and respect and that we enable them to cope with their difficulties. You will always be attentive in order to ensure the safety of the people we support. Objectives: To deliver high-quality service delivery to our residents in line with the Care Standards To work with residents to identify their needs, wishes, and choices and to be responsive to these needs. To support residents as directed by their personal support plans in areas of personal care. To encourage, support and assist residents so as to build on their existing skills and develop new skills to maximise potential abilities. To respect the residents right to privacy and to ensure that their dignity is always maintained. To assist residents to access community resources, activities and facilities that meet their recreational, educational, spiritual needs. To offer reassurance and support at times of distress. To actively seek to empower residents to gain and maintain control over all aspects of their lives and promote lifestyle. To ensure that meaningful involvement of residents is central to all activities and undertakings within the home equal opportunities policies at all times. To encourage all residents to participate in domestic tasks around the house within their capabilities, e.g., cooking, washing up and doing their own washing and ironing. To promote the wellbeing of the people we support and recognise and respond to any issues which may cause concern safeguarding alert.
