Job Title: Legal Clerk – Housing Disrepair Team

Contract: Fixed Term up to 23 months, 36.5 hours per week, Grade A (£24,796 – £27,254).

A dynamic, progressive legal service offers the opportunity to work in a large team tackling essential housing litigation cases while learning and developing as a leading local government officer.


Key Responsibilities

* Produce accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date legal documentation and court bundles under direction, meeting tight deadlines.
* Open new case files using the case management system, set up initial documentation and complete acknowledgements.
* Close files on the case management system, prepare paper files for off-site storage and update team spreadsheets with case outcomes.
* Process and respond to routine communication received by post, telephone or email, taking messages, copying, scanning and distributing information as necessary.
* Operate legal procedures, including authentication and sealing of documents, producing case management reports and assisting with routine processes such as invoicing.
