Operating six days a week thanks to dedicated volunteers, the project adapted its programs to online platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic, continuing one-to-one support and outreach work. The project provided essential care packs and launched initiatives like 'Lagmore Live' and a drive-in cinema to support youth and engage the community during isolation.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Youth Support Worker located in Belfast. The Youth Support Worker will be responsible for engaging with young people, offering support and mentorship, organizing activities and events, and promoting safety messages. The role involves direct interaction with youth to address their needs, providing them with resources and guidance, and working closely with volunteers and community members to ensure effective service delivery.
Qualifications
* * Youth Work, Youth Services, and Youth Mentoring skills
* Experience in Social Work
* Strong Communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and community members
* Experience in organizing activities and events for young people
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in youth work or social work are advantageous
