The Role:
To support the Night Shift Manager and Warehouse Staff to work effectively within the DC, implementing the correct processes and practices across the Night (Charlie) shift, leading by example to motivate and engage to ensure the productivity of colleagues.
Job Specifics:
1. Contract Type: Permanent
2. Shift: Night (Charlie)
3. Location: Hemel Hempstead, Boundary Way
4. Hours: 22:00pm - 06:00am (must be flexible to work weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
5. All Operatives to be working at or above the DC expected target of cases per day
6. Ensure all completed store pallets that are dispatched from the DC meet the correct standards
7. Support the set up and lead of a warehouse shift team on a daily basis
8. Understanding and upholding Majestic Policies, ensuring that all policy related actions are completed in required time frame, where required and support with the conducting of Return to Work meetings, attendance & disciplinary meetings where necessary
9. Ensure all warehouse standards are being met and maintained by the warehouse team
10. Work collaboratively with Shift Manager to deliver quarterly performance reviews of all individuals within their team
11. Deliver training, both mandatory and discretionary, within the team to ensure all training is up to date on the DC Training Matrix
12. Ensure the safe and correct use of all equipment is practised in the DC
13. Promptly update and record any stock adjustments that are required eg. stock move, write off, priority
14. Deputise and lead the shift in the absence of the Shift Manager
15. Adhere to all Company Health and Safety policies and documents
16. All P1,P2 or P3 issues are escalated according to Company escalation policy
17. Fulfil First Aid and Fire Marshal responsibilities across site when required
18. Understanding of the business sales plan and how you and your team support the business in achieving this, conveying that to the team
Knowledge & Skills Required:
19. Lead and support night shift warehouse operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, and safety standards are met
20. Strong working knowledge of warehouse processes and workflow
21. Adaptable and able to respond effectively to operational challenges during night hours
22. Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and WMS systems (Accord, iSeries)
23. Proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to work independently
24. Organised with a strong focus on housekeeping and health & safety compliance
25. Previous experience in a similar warehouse or supervisory role desirable
26. Fire Marshal and First Aid qualifications desirable
27. Role includes physical duties, including lifting up to 15kg
