THE ROLE
As an IT Systems Engineer your primary focus will be supporting and maintaining corporate IT applications, platforms, infrastructure and networks. You will also be required to support and sometimes lead implementations and projects related to technology within Smart.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively within your immediate team, wider IT and Cyber teams and across departments within Smart.
* Ensure systems, services and processes are implemented and maintained within Smart Pensions’ prescribed standards, policies and compliance frameworks.
* Effectively communicate, manage and implement changes to systems, services and processes across our full tech stack.
* Ensure documentation, registers and related CMDB artefacts are implemented and maintained to a high standard.
* Support culture of openness, transparency and teamwork within your immediate team, wider IT and Cyber teams and across departments within Smart.
* Facilitate and participate in knowledge sharing activities within your immediate team, wider IT and Cyber teams and across departments within Smart.
* Promote and by example foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Act as a technical escalation contact for the Cyber and IT Operations teams where required.
* Actively participate in incident management activities within the IT and Cyber team and across departments within Smart.
* Other activities as required.
Who We Are Looking For
* In-depth knowledge of productivity and collaboration platforms including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
* High level of proficiency in the management, maintenance and configuration of Identity and Access Management platforms and associated protocols.
* Working knowledge of Public Cloud services like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud and practical experience managing, maintaining and configuring at least one of the example platforms.
* High level of proficiency in Mobile Device Management platforms including Intune.
* Strong knowledge of MacOS administration and working knowledge of Windows, iOS and Android operating systems administration.
* Proficiency in working with no-code/low-code automation and workflow tooling (essential) including Okta workflows and Power Automate.
* Strong working knowledge and practical experience with the configuration of EDR, web proxy, traffic management and inspection tooling.
* Knowledge and practical experience with the configuration of TCP/IP networking and VLANs in WAN/LAN environments.
* Coding/scripting experience in one or more general-purpose languages would be beneficial but not essential.
* Strong communication skills that deliver the right message at the right time to the right audience and level.
* Ability to make data-driven decisions with pragmatism and at pace.
* Commitment to teamwork and support for your colleagues.
