About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Hastings. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and drive achievement across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
The successful candidate will join a committed and forward-thinking Maths department that values high standards, collaboration, and a strong focus on pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
Differentiate effectively to support students of all abilities
Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
Contribute to curriculum development within the Maths department
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Support the wider life of the school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
The ability to motivate and challenge students
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
